lyrics
I can hear
The low hum
Of
Everything
Resonating in its emptiness
The grain of better days
Takes me back
It wasn't the taste it was the feeling
I guess it doesn't really matter
I guess it doesn't really matter
The letters on the glass bottle blur
Into I love you, I love you, I love you
I love you, I love you
Resonating in its emptiness
The grain of better days
Takes me back
It wasn't the taste it was the feeling
I'll poison you too
But never on purpose
I'll poison you too
But never on purpose
I'll poison you too
But never on purpose
Resonating in its emptiness
The grain of better days
Takes me back
It wasn't the taste it was the feeling
There is a lot to hear here and unsurprisingly it's a mixed bag, but Passing Strange's stunning arrangement of "Tourniquet" blows me away. They make it sound like it was ALWAYS a piano ballad, and their contribution was to rock it up with lively drums. summer villain
who doesn't love a band committed to punk, poetry, and artistic purity? this is a more confidently patient release than Symmetry, but the riffs are no less monstrous and the textures deepen the space the songs inhabit. the lyrics have no fat to them, but still manage to be thought provoking, impressionistic, and emotional. always a pleasure :)
