lyrics
I'm drawn and quartered
It's like a proverb, its playing over, in my head
Fallen from what little grace I had
I'm silenced by your anger in the middle of the night
Tell your side
I'll tell mine
Say I lied
Tell your side
Take every last breath
Take every last
To look into your eyes
And fall in love again
It's not like a movie
Where I can say I love you
You can't get entertainment like this
Anywhere else
Tell your side
I'll tell mine
Say I lied
Tell your side
Take every last breath
Take every last
Crying
In the middle of the night
No one
Will believe me
Everyone will believe you
No one
Will believe me
Tell your side
I'll tell mine
Say I lied
Tell your side
Take every last breath
Take every last
There is a lot to hear here and unsurprisingly it's a mixed bag, but Passing Strange's stunning arrangement of "Tourniquet" blows me away. They make it sound like it was ALWAYS a piano ballad, and their contribution was to rock it up with lively drums. summer villain
who doesn't love a band committed to punk, poetry, and artistic purity? this is a more confidently patient release than Symmetry, but the riffs are no less monstrous and the textures deepen the space the songs inhabit. the lyrics have no fat to them, but still manage to be thought provoking, impressionistic, and emotional. always a pleasure :)
