about
You think I don't notice when you're in a room
But all I ever envision is you
Wipe the stains from my eyes
But at least we tried
Don't be scared when you're talking to me
I know its not that simple, it's never that easy
Don't be scared cause I'm not one to judge
I know its not what you planned for, never what you're thinking of
Devastate me with your lashing tongue
The one I have learned to love
Rip me open by my seams (x2)
Don't be scared when you're talking to me
I know its not that simple, it's never that easy
Don't be scared cause I'm not one to judge
I know its not what you planned for, never what you're thinking of
Why Stay? ( I can feel you still next to me)
Why Stay? (is that you or the wind)
When you can go ( I can feel you still next to me)
When you can go (is that you or the wind)
Don't be scared when you're talking to me
I know its not that simple, it's never that easy
Don't be scared cause I'm not one to judge
I know its not what you planned for, never what you're thinking of (x3)

There is a lot to hear here and unsurprisingly it's a mixed bag, but Passing Strange's stunning arrangement of "Tourniquet" blows me away. They make it sound like it was ALWAYS a piano ballad, and their contribution was to rock it up with lively drums. summer villain

who doesn't love a band committed to punk, poetry, and artistic purity? this is a more confidently patient release than Symmetry, but the riffs are no less monstrous and the textures deepen the space the songs inhabit. the lyrics have no fat to them, but still manage to be thought provoking, impressionistic, and emotional. always a pleasure :)
